‘The Juicy Lucy Festival’ Is A Minnesota ‘Must Do’ This Weekend

How far would you drive to get the best burger of your life? Maybe it's down to your corner bar, or maybe you aren't picky at all. If there's a cheeseburger to be eaten, you'll be there.

For those who want to make a weekend out of tasty burgers, the ValleyFair Juicy Lucy Festival might just be the event of the summer.

THE VALLEY FAIR JUICY LUCY FESTIVAL IS COMING!

The Juicy Lucy Festival will be happening on July 12 and 13th, and then again on July 19th and 20th.

"The Juicy Lucy Festival adds new flavor to our already exciting lineup of summer events, giving guests something to look forward to from now until Labor Day," said Regional General Manager John Krajnak.

HOW BIG OF AN APPETITE DO YOU HAVE?

What will you be able to find at the Juicy Lucy Festival, other than an amazing Juicy Lucy? There are lots of juicy options. I don't know who came up with these creations, but I might just hold back from eating anything for a few days so I can go to ValleyFair and have room for one or more of these tasty options:

CREAMY CHEESY CHERRY LUCY
If you're a cream cheese lover, then this burger might just do the trick. It includes a grilled hamburger filled with cream cheese, and then it's topped with cherry chutney and served on a slider bun.

MISS LUCY JO
If spice is your life, then this spicy burger is sure to have you sweating on a hot, sizzling summer day. The

The Miss Lucy Jo burger is filled with ghost pepper cheese. YEP. That super hot 'I-don't-know-if-I'll-live-through-this' kind of cheese. As if that wasn't hot enough, they top it off with jalapenos and more ghost pepper cheese, then add some sriracha sauce before they serve it up.

ONE-SWINE LUCY
This puts the Ham in a hamburger. This gives you a little bit of everything. Some spice, some sweet...some saucy. It's a hamburger filled with ghost pepper cheese, and then it is topped with bacon jam, onion straws, and BBQ sauce.

SOPHY'S LUCY
This is a burger for pretzel fans. It's a grilled hamburger filled with American cheese, and then it's topped with fried onions and beer cheese and served on a pretzel bun.

MINNESOTA SUSHI LUCY
Ahhh...I get it now. This grilled hamburger tastes like home...as it is packed full of cream cheese, and then it's topped with dill pickles and bacon, with a little bit 'o ranch dressing and served on a slider bun.

THE CLASSIC ORIGINAL JUICY LUCY
This is the one that's probably never going to be beaten. It's a grilled hamburger that's filled with American cheese and topped with fried onions.

EVENTS OTHER THAN EATING

There will be more than just the food and the exciting rides that you've come to know and love at Valleyfair. There will also be some family activities to participate in, including:

• A Street Curling Rink
• Hands-on activities are scattered throughout the park to enjoy
